5 Common Myths About Smartphone Batteries

The ultimate need to keep our smartphones running at all times has manifest in a number of ways. Smartphone users hunt for different measures to keep their batteries healthier and durable. A number of these "battery saving practices" are just mare misconceptions and misinformations (All na wash) which most people consider. Here are five of the most prevalent smartphone battery myths :

1. Don't use your phone while charging : Most people believe that using your phone while charging might cause your phone to implode or end up electrocuting you. This is true for ancient lithium-ion batteries that could overheat or even explode if charged for too long. Modern phones however, are called smartphones for a reason. Most of these apps are required for the phone to function normally. So as soon as they're closed, they'll have to load to the phone's memory all over again. This frequent loading and unloading puts extra stress on the device leading to more power consumption than if you just left it alone.

3. Go to simple server and
configure the settings:

Injection line: press your enter key 4
times
Log level: debug
4. Close the settings and click the
connect button.
5. Download Autoproxy .
6. Launch and goto settings by selecting the three dots in the top right corner.  Add new proxy with the following

Save and connect


NB: Autoproxy just aids in powering all apps,even simple server alone is sufficient. But i recommend using Autoproxy too.

How To Sync Subtitle With Video & Adjust Subtitle Speed

Subtitle can be extremely upsetting if they are out-of-sync with the video. i.e Subtitle might not correspond to the audio or the speed is slow. 

However, Using MxPlayer and lots of other players too, we can find a way around this issue. I'll focus on using MxPlayer Android.

How to fix Out-of-sync subtitle

• Load the movie using MxPlayer along with the subtitle 

• Carefully observe the movie to determine if the subtitle is lagging or running ahead of the video. Let's say for example ,the video shows someone screaming thief! thief!  thief! And then 3 seconds later the subtitle then loads. Obviously here, the subtitle is lagging behind by 3 seconds. 

• Goto menu by tapping three dots at the top right corner

• Select subtitle option then synchronization

• Adjust the subtitle using the + and - sign till it perfectly sync with the video.As for the example above,you'll have to add 3 seconds to fix it. 

• Subtitle speed can also be adjusted in the same menu. 

Conclusively,the settings options allow for adjusting subtitle front size, color, and scale to suit your need.

How To Download & Add Subtitle To A Movie

Watching movies with subtitle is interesting as for me, because it allows me to fully understand every point of the movie,most especially when British accent is involved .

Some movies have embedded subtitle in them whereas others don't,as such require download of the subtitle online. 

Downloading and adding a subtitle to a video file is simple as Abc. The subtitle of any video can be searched for, directly via Google or perhaps from any of these websites. 

opensubtitles.org , tvsubtitles.net , yifysubtitles.com , mvsubtitles.com, tvsubs.net 

The subtitle files are mostly in zip format as such requires you to unzip using any file explorer. Once unzipped,the main file should be in SRT or SUB extension. 

To add a subtitle to a movie, simply place the subtitle file and the movie in the same folder with same name. 

On the other hand, you can manually add the file irrespective of its location or name using Mx Player .

• Launch MxPlayer

• Play the movie or video you wish to add subtitle for. 

• Tap settings by selecting the three dots at the top right Conner of the player

• Select subtitle and then open

• Locate the SRT or SUB file and tap to add it.

Now we have successfully added a subtitle to to a video.

Etisalat Chat Pack + Openvpn Unlimited Browsing

Earlier on i explained how to connect Etisalat social plans using Tweakware to browse unlimitedly. 
Now we'll look at connecting it with OpenVpn.

Subscribe for any of the Plans

Download OpenVpn from PlayStore or Apk here

Download etisalat Chat Pack configuration files

Once you download the file, unzip and move then to your parent folder.i.e SDcard
After installation, launch and select option >>import >> Import file from Sdcard. 

Select the files in .ovpn extension importing them one after the other. 

Select a server and username and password will be required. 
Openvpn password is changed every week, so you'll have to continually update the password from Ovpn Website. Although,username remains constant being vpnbook.

Input username and password, connect and you're good to go. Unlike Tweakware it has no limited bandwidth.
