The death of internet explorer has opened a gateway for a new improved browser called "Microsoft Edge ".The new name was announced during a build conference held at San Francisco.It was called "Project Spartan" prior to the announcement .

Microsoft Edge which will be the default browser built into windows 10 Comes with some pretty awesome features including ;

• Cortana integration for quick search

• Enhanced reading mode that shows only text if an article 

• Simplicity and minimalism in design

• note taking and sharing feature

According to recent reports Microsoft Edge is way faster than chrome and Safari. 

These were the benchmark used and result obtained

• On Webkit Sunspider,Edge is 112% faster than chrome

• On Apple JetStream, Edge is 37% faster than chrome

• On Google Octane, Edge is 11% faster than chrome.

One hell of a fast browser I'll say and i see some competition coming with other browsers. 

The web browser will be available on windows, windows mobile and possibly Xbox One since it is a universal app.

New 'SciNet' Search Engine Claimed to Find Relevant Results Faster

Finnish researchers have developed a new search engine that outperforms current ones and helps people search more efficiently.

Developed at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT, the SciNet search engine is different because it changes Internet searches into recognition tasks by showing keywords related to the user's search in topic radar.

People using SciNet can get relevant and diverse search results faster, especially when they do not know exactly what they are looking for or how to formulate a query to find it.
It is often hard for people to put what they are looking for into words.

Their search needs often do not become more focused until they begin the actual search.
"The SciNet search engine solves these problems. It is easier for people to recognise what information they want from the options offered by the SciNet search engine than it is to type it themselves," explained project's coordinator Tuukka Ruotsalo.

Once initially queried, SciNet displays a range of keywords and topics in a topic radar.
With the help of the directions on the radar, the engine displays how these topics are related to each other.

The relevance of each keyword is displayed as its distance from the centre point of the radar - those more closely related are nearer to the centre, and those less relevant are farther away.
The search engine also offers alternatives that are connected with the topic, but which the user might not have thought of querying.

By moving words around the topic radar, users specify what information is most useful for them.
The paper was published in the journal Communications of the ACM.

1. Go to any YouTube video page and copy the URL of the video you want to save.
2.open a new tab and paste the URL. Edit it and add ss .for example

The URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3ymHMgFAps

Then edit it to http://ssyoutube.com/watch?v=R3ymHMgFAps

As you can see I removed WWW. And added ss

3. If done properly, a new window will appear showing a preview of the video (as shown below) with the Download links. For most users, we suggest downloading the MP4 format. Other available formats may include FLV, 3GP, and WebM.






After the file has been downloaded, it will be available in your downloads folder.
